PROJECT 1 :
Self-Expression through Object ‘REPRESENTING ME’

|| Design of Head Gear
I wanted to do a head gear because it is a representation of the things that are occuring in my mind. Thus, a head gear would be the best option to represent me. I've always wanted to embrace a few elements of an empath, being approachable (soft,curvy lines), being open (flowy lines), being sensitive(proximity of lines), how empaths intertwined with people's lives(intertwined lines of straight and curve lines), how it has scars(irregular triangular shapes), and also the fact that empaths needed a shield(coverage of the head area using lines).

Thus, throughout the process, there has been a lot of exploration in the design using lines. The picture above shows one of the exploration I've done before coming out with the final idea.
|| The Final Outcome
|| Representing Me
For this very first project, we were asked to start off by understanding ourselves. We had to come out with a mindmap based on our personality, characteristics, attitude, interest and other interesting facts. After that, we had to choose the most dominant trait of ourselves that we want to embrace, that best represents ourself, and make an object based on the chosen keyword. The object has to be something abstract and something that can be wore, like a hat, a glove, a mask and more.

|| Story
The keyword that I've chose to further my project is Empathetic. I feel like a huge part of life has been an empath. An empath is a listener, where we listen to stories and challenges other people face and we as an empath is able to feel and understand their feeling, thethings people go through. It help us identify with out own emotions allowing oursleves to learn, grow and reflect.As an empath, we have to learn how to shield and cleanse ourselves from time to time in order to prevent ourselves from being hurt. We have to always find our way to balance between our mentality and emotions,without being influenced and still remaining that welcoming impression to others.
