REFLECTION
In this module, we were exposed to the post modern buildings. What I've realized is that the buildings we see nowadays has slowly transition into very basic forms, typical usual style of blocks. Buildings nowadays has slowly lose it's soul. Recently I went to Italy, and visited all the famous basilicas and cathedrals. Each and every building I saw was filled with it's story and has its own expression. It reflected its culture and it made the whole city so much more stunning. I was amazed by how the building blends in with the city perfectly and gives life to the city and people. The buildings back then had so much more interesting elements in their building compared to the modern buildings.

As a comparison, I feel like this is the time where architects has to take a step back and revisit those old classic historical building, and learn the lessons from them. The trip made me realized that architecture is so much more than blocks and rectangular shapes. There are so much possibilities and stories that can be told through buildings. This module made me appreciate the buildings that was built back in those days and I would love to see one day how the architectural world transforms back into a place where creating a soulful building is emphasized.
