CHAM ZHENG CHEE

The precedent study analysis allows me to exposed myself to a specific given architecture. Through all the research, I was able to have more in depth understanding of the particular architecture, as for my case, the Gothic architecture. There are so much interesting elements in architecture that I was able to learn throughout this project. From the architect's philosophy, to the form and shape of the building, from it's function and feature of building, to the technology advancement that implemented in the building. This project gave me an opportunity to have a glimpse of how the architecture has progressed from the ancient times and slowly till today, exploring and knowing the characteristics of each period of architecture.

Its important to have a glimpse of the culture and history of different period of times, to get to know how the architecture, the spaces, the culture and the people come together as one. Every period of time tells a story and was able to do wonders with architecture. Its the architecture that was able to reflect the civilization and also the culture of the people at a certain point of time.

 

It was indeed an eye opening journey for me, being able to exposed to so many different types of architecture in this module.
