In project 2, we're given the freedom to choose any building that is local. The objective is to get ourselves exposed to various building material, understanding how it relates to the design intention of the building and also how the building material was able to suit to the building's atmosphere and environment. This project is divided into two parts, group work and individualwork. Thegroup work, we have to come out with a mood board, a simple introduction of the building and the list of materials that the building used. For the individual part, each and everyone of us were given a space in the building ad we had to analyze the space, identify how the building materials were used to create a specific atmosphere. The building that we've selected was the Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre (KLPAC) as it gave us a strong impression of widely use of various building materials based on its exterior facade.
