|| Dreamspace

We were given a condition whereby we had to use the space between two existing building, which is 6m wide to create our own dreamspace. We were allowed to set where the location can the area of these 2 buildings be. The scale of our final models and drawings has to be in a scale of 1 : 50.

|| Story

My father always wanted me to try out new experiences, and one of them was dancing.It started off as an awkward experience, but I've decided to just give it a go and experiment the whole idea of dancing. As I was exposed to dancing more, I start to see the beauty of dancing. What so fascinating about dancing is that dancing was able to capture the story and emotions of an individual. Other than that, the physicality and flexibility of our body, the coordination of each body movement was able to bring out the emotions and stories wa in fact something special.

Dancing was like a snap out of reality. It brings you to places that you want to be, and it has a certain peacefulness to it. The fact that you're able to temporarily put aside everything, and just be immersed into the moment, its just a calming and relaxing thing to do. The peacefulness in it, I could only described as if I was dancing in the forest, alone in the woods, The combination of the trees, the wind and the dance, it creates a peaceful environment for me,

|| Design of Hideout

What I really wanted to capture in the hideout was the sense of movement, in dancing, in the forest environment. Other than that, I wanted to capture the forest atmosphere in my hideout. Apart from that, I want to incorporate the two main elements that I wanted to explore in dancing, which is the emotional and physicality, translating it into a form of design. Thus, I've decided to use various types of lines and also the use of unity into the exploration regarding the sequence of movement of a dancer, and also the natural environment, to see how all of these things can come together and inspire the design of my hideout.
